Project Detail

Geo-Hydro provided Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections, and NPDES Compliance services for the construction of the Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center in Marietta, Georgia. The $10.6M, 28,000 SF facility replaced the former East Marietta Library that had occupied the same Lower Roswell Road location for nearly 50 years.  As a joint facility of the Cobb County Public Library System and Cobb County Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department (PARKS), the Sewell Mill Center offers creative space alongside the library space. The creative space includes children and teen spaces, study rooms, recording studios, a conference room, a digital maker space commons, a community room, an art gallery and art classrooms, an outdoor amphitheater, and a black box theater.
