Geo-Hydro provided construction materials testing and Special Inspections services for the construction of an addition the McDowell County Jail and Courthouse. The project included a two-story, 4,222 square-foot building to increase the jail’s capacity to 165 beds. The construction of the new building consists of structural precast concrete and steel framing, and masonry walls supported on shallow foundations.
