Here's to 2019 and Our Team's Success in 2018!

Happy New Year from the Geo-Hydro team! As we ring in 2019 and look forward to an exciting year, we’re also celebrating the New Year with a look back at last year’s accomplishments. To kick off a great 2019, Geo-Hydro is eager to share our highlights from 2018.

2018 was an exciting year for Geo-Hydro with much company growth. Eleven new team members joined our company this year, making our team nearly 100 members strong. Geo-Hydro’s ownership expanded to 20 principals and associates including the promotions of two team members. We continued to further our reach throughout Georgia with the relocation and expansion of our Lawrenceville office. Additionally, Geo-Hydro expanded our environmental consulting division to our Charlotte, North Carolina office in February.

Geo-Hydro’s opportunities and success within our project work in 2018 is also noteworthy. Across our five offices, our clients entrusted us with over 1,200 projects. Those 1,200+ projects included tremendous gains in the industrial, multifamily, and solar power sectors.

In 2018, Geo-Hydro implemented a leadership program in which eight Geo-Hydro team members across our five offices participated. The three-month, internally-run program helped the team members develop leadership strategies to facilitate both personal and professional growth. With the leadership program’s success, we plan to use 2019 to further develop the program and to offer regular sessions. Geo-Hydro has always stood behind the value of in-house training, and we are excited to extend our in-house training opportunities to support our team’s personal growth in addition to its professional/technical growth.

While we set specific goals and targets for each year, our overarching mission always stays the same: to provide excellent service and an exceptional team. Geo-Hydro is proud of our many successes throughout 2018 that demonstrate our commitment to our mission. Our team continued to add top tier materials testing and inspection certifications to our significant collection, including Master of Special Inspection, Certified Welding Inspector, and commercial drone operator certifications.

Each day, our team puts tremendous effort into bettering our company and demonstrating Geo-Hydro’s exceptionalism. 2018 recognized the cumulation of our daily efforts. In April, Geo-Hydro was nominated for the Gwinnett Chamber’s IMPACT Regional Business Award for excellence in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) sector. Wrapping up the year in December, Geo-Hydro's Greensboro office earned a place in the top 20 North Carolina Triad engineering firms in the Triad Business Journal 2018 Rankings.

2018 proved to be an outstanding year and has set the tone for Geo-Hydro’s continued growth and success in 2019. Geo-Hydro has much in store for the new year, and we look forward to sharing our 2019 journey.
