Geo-Hydro performed groundwater monitoring well installation and sampling activities for a private industrial waste landfill located at a chemical plant in Cartersville, Georgia.  The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) required the installation of groundwater monitoring wells at this site. Geo-Hydro oversaw the installation of six groundwater monitoring wells around the perimeter of the industrial waste landfill and also retrofitted two existing monitoring wells located onsite with the appropriate pad, protective steel casing, and steel bollards. Three existing piezometers within the footprint of the landfill were properly abandoned in accordance with the Georgia Water Well Standards Act.  Upon completion of well installation, Geo-Hydro conducted multiple groundwater sampling events to meet Georgia EPD requirements.
