Project Detail
Geo-Hydro provided geotechnical engineering services at the site of the FUSE Complex in Gastonia, North Carolina. A new, $15M baseball stadium with associated facilities anchors the complex. The stadium is multi-use and provides space for concerts, shows, and additional sporting events. The 16-acre site for this complex includes four parcels of land. At the time of Geo-Hydro’s work, two of the parcels were vacant with some asphalt paving and vegetation. The remaining space included an operational motel as well as a retail building undergoing demolition. Geo-Hydro’s scope of services consisted of a subsurface exploration, a soil electrical resistivity survey, and geotechnical engineering evaluations.
