ASCE Construction Institute

Geo-Hydro has been a long-time supporter of ASCE and two of its professionals have held leadership positions in ASCE Georgia’s Construction Institute since its inception.

Thomas Baglivo, P.E.,  is the current Chairman and has also served as past Co-chairman.

Jeremy Thompson, E.I.T., has served as Secretary and Treasurer since 2014.

The ASCE Georgia Construction Institute was formed in 2014, making it the newest of ASCE Georgia’s 7 active technical groups.  In addition to being the newest technical group here in Georgia, it is 1 of only 11 Construction Institute chapters nationwide!

Georgia’s CI is still relatively small, with an average of 20 members regularly attending monthly meetings.  Although small, the CI has been able to attract a strong following with members representing industry leaders such as Atkins North America, Oldcastle, Hayward Baker, Heath & Lineback, and many more!  Technical presentations have been provided by Brasfield & Gorrie, Metromont, Contech, and TenCate just to name a few.

One of the main goals of the Construction Institute is to help bridge the gap between owners, engineer’s and contractors.  For more information about the CI and ASCE Georgia, including news, events, and local chapter meetings, follow the links below:
