New Acworth Police Station

It is open for business! October 8, 2014, marked a very special ribbon cutting… the new Acworth Police Station. Elected officials, community leaders, police officers, and residents gathered to celebrate the officially opening of the new police station. The new police station is the first newly constructed police station in Acworth since 1935. In fact, in the mid-1990s, Acworth Police moved from the now historic police station into a renovated small warehouse. Over the years, as they grew and technology changed their needs for a new facility became very necessary. One of Geo-Hydro’s Principals, Brian Ingram, who lives in Acworth, is a graduate of the Acworth Citizen’s Police Academy, and when not in the office is regularly involved with the community and the Acworth Police Department. “It is amazing to see the level of service our police department have been able to provide our community with the tools they had. This new facility is designed specifically to fit their needs and will help serve the police department and the community for another 50 years.” -Brian
Thanks to funds obtained through the Cobb County SPLOST, their new home is complete. This amazing facility was designed by Croft and Associates and constructed by Hodges and Hicks Contractors.
Geo-Hydro Engineers contributed to the success of the project through special inspections and testing throughout construction. Geo-Hydro is proud to have been able to be a part of another successful project and excited that this project will have a positive and lasting impact on our community.
